Caring for a pit bull is not different from caring for any other dog. All dogs require food, water, shelter, veterinary care, and love. Like any other type of dog, “pit bulls” do not do well with the “bare minimum.” They are very affectionate and want to be loved in return. “Pit bull” owners need to assess their individual dog’s physical and mental needs, and make sure those needs are met.
